Next week, PECHS will celebrate Youth Arts Week, highlighting Theatre in Our Schools Month, Youth Art Month, and Music in Our Schools Month. Students and staff will enjoy themed dress-up days showcasing the creativity of our Fine Arts programs. Students at PECHS recently participated in Y Street, a statewide youth leadership and advocacy program. Through their participation, students became eligible for scholarship opportunities. Learn more at ystreet.org.
Thank you to the Farmville Chamber of Commerce for inviting students from PECHS to attend their annual Youth Summit! Students participated in a variety of sessions focused on America’s 250th birthday and more. The event wrapped up with a keynote address from Commonwealth’s Attorney Megan Clark and a buffet lunch at Hampden-Sydney College.
