Some of our PECPS 3rd-8th graders had an amazing learning experience at the Keysville campus of the Governor's School of Southside Virginia. They learned about energy, complicated forms of matter, magnets, and so much more! Younger Eagles connected with older Eagles and got a taste of what it might be like to be a part of the GSSV. PECPS is SO thankful to have this valuable resource so close to home.

September was all about showing up and shining bright! 🌟 We celebrated Attendance Awareness Month with fun activities and a special raffle to reward students for their commitment to showing up every day, ready to learn. 👏

Dr. Jones will host several town hall meetings. The first one will be on October 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the community room at the Central Virginia Library. The topic will be bullying.
Our middle schoolers are loving Homecoming Spirit Days! So far they have participated in Animal Print Day and Class Color Wars. Tomorrow they will dress to impress!
Thank you to our local Walmart! They recently donated school supplies and sunscreen to the athletics department. We truly appreciate your community partnerships and the barriers these relationships help reduce for our students.

🌞 Mrs. Rice's PTIs (Periodic Table Investigators) are back! For their Solar Energy Investigation, students are growing cucumber plants in 2 buckets and exploring how the angle of sunlight affects growth. They measured plant height, tracked the sun’s position, and recorded quantitative and qualitative data. A big thank you to Mr. Morgan from our local 4H for donating the materials! 🥒🔬
