The Class of 2027 is officially up next! 💜💛 PECHS is excited to celebrate our rising seniors during the final week of school with our “Up Next: Class of 2027” Spirit Week, May 18–22. From Throwback Day to Purple & Gold Pride Day and Senior Status Day, we’re closing out the school year with Eagle pride, fun, and celebration all week long. Be sure to join in, show your spirit, and stop by the photo booth during lunch!

Our seniors celebrated Decision Day and their final Senior Recess with an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and memories. Students enjoyed games, snacks, prizes, and time together as they prepare for the next chapter after graduation.
Whether heading to college, the workforce, the military, or career training, we are proud of the Class of 2026 and excited for all that lies ahead! 💜💛

Our seniors had a wonderful time on their class trip to Kings Dominion! This special tradition gives students the chance to celebrate together, enjoy time with friends, and make memories as they prepare for graduation.

🎓 Congratulations to our PECHS seniors!
This past weekend, several of our seniors celebrated major milestones as they graduated from Southside Virginia Community College and Governor’s School of Southside Virginia programs.
The ceremony, held at Longwood University, recognized the hard work, dedication, and commitment these students have shown in earning college credits and achieving advanced academic milestones in high school.
We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next for them! 💛

Did you know? Measles is highly contagious, especially for those who are not vaccinated. The Virginia Department of Health and your primary care provider are good resources for questions or concerns. PECPS has been in contact with the Piedmont Health District to stay updated through the Virginia Department of Health.

On Thursday, April 30, students stepped into the role of the teacher, working in groups to design and deliver their own lessons. Each group created a mini-lesson focused on a specific element of theatre, incorporating instructional strategies, engaging activities, and opportunities for their classmates to learn by doing.
From breaking down what makes a strong script to leading interactive improv exercises, our students did an incredible job teaching and learning from one another. Their creativity, collaboration, and confidence were on full display as they took ownership of the classroom and truly brought theatre to life.
We are so proud of these Eagles for rising to the challenge and demonstrating excellence through student-led learning! 🎬👏
